Not much to report from the last few weeks...last Wednesday we meet up with Kyla and Kaegan for a play date that started out at the mall and ended up at the park.

BUT along with our week flying by why does it always seem like our weekends do too, even when we don't have plans, people to see or places to go. Last Friday, Isabella and I dared the start of Tax Free Weekend. I wasn't really out and about for the Tax Free ciaos so I ventured out early am and was in Lubbock when the stores opened. I had several errands that had to be ran that weekend and I didn't want to fight the crowds to do it. For future years when I do decided to take advantage of Tax Free Weekend...early Friday morning is the time to go.
Isabella hanging with Barney at the mall...she loves these ride on things...but she was content with just sitting on this one without putting in any change, however, very sad to leave him behind.

Things really didn't start getting crazy until about noon and thank goodness that is about when I had accomplished all I needed to do except Target and Walmart. We met Brandee at Cotton Patch for lunch and then headed off to those two places after lunch. Lucky for us they had not become overcrowded yet either. Saturday the plan was to get up and going early but didn't quite make it however when we did get up and moving we headed in to Lubbock for our weekly Weight Watchers meeting and decided to stop by Ashely Furniture's "Garage Sale." I've been a few times before and there usually isn't much left unless you hit it early. Some of you may know I've been on the search for a headboard and foot board for the queen bed in Isabella's room, also have been looking for a tall chester drawers since the only place I have for her things is the small coat closet in our hallway! I did manage to find a bed...it was very similar to what I had in mind I have been looking for..the only difference is slats vs. wanting spindles!
Due to no place to store it, I did go ahead and set it up in her room but because I did get a "Garage Sale" price on a very nice piece of furniture, it will be painted to match her room (this project is saved for a future date). Sunday we got up and went to church and FINALLY Sunday afternoon, Alan & Ricky started the steps to putting Isabella's swing set together that she got from her great grandmother for her birthday.
"I want up there," she said.

I mean it did take Isabella saying at Sam's while pointing at the put together swing set..."Daddy, I NEED that!" But hey, 7 steps out of 30....it's a start and maybe by winter Isabella will have a swing set! And just like the snap of a finger our weekend had come and gone. Tuesday I played nurse to Alan, Isabella and my grandmother. The two older babies had to be taken to the dr and the baby just was fussy ALL day!!! Wednesday Alan stayed home again (Dr's orders) and the only thing I required of him was to wash dishes he had been promising he would wash for 2 weeks. Let me tell you, when I set my mind to something..it's set. I would have let the dishes stack to the ceiling and probably still not washed them because I repeatedly asked him to wash them and he said he would and I believe in the I cook, You clean rule especially if it's waiting for you when you come home from work!! (And yes mother, he washed the wak and bbq utensils that have been sitting in my oven!) Ok, ok, I did have him assist me in putting together Isabella's new toy box!
I spent most of the day sorting and boxing up clothes Isabella can't wear anymore or are for the future to be taken to our storage building. 12 totes and I'm still not finished, my how children accumulate stuff and my how I'm insane for keeping EVERYTHING!! Thursday we headed to Lubbock for some Kyla/Kaegan time!!
