Snow Day!!

Last night and this morning you might have heard me chanting something along these lines...

"Snow, snow, go away come again another day. We are ready for Spring to stay, Snow, snow, GO AWAY!!!" or "Snow, snow, go away, you just make a muddy mess the next day, Snow, snow STAY AWAY!!!"

Although I am extremely ready for pretty weather so that I can get outside and play with Isabella and have been known to gripe about the extended extreme winter, I had a super duper good time playing outside in the snow with Isabella this morning. We went out a little after 11 and didn't come in till after 1. Luckily, the roads weren't as bad as they have been the past few storms and Alan's office didn't open until 1 (New Mexico time), SO unfortunately he didn't get to stay home with us today. Although daddy couldn't stay and play...when Isabella found out that it had snowed she was so excited and could not wait to get her "goat" (coat) on.

Who's to say these are just "Sand" Toys....

We made snow castles with them!
After all of the snow we have had this winter, Isabella has become a pro snow ball roller. (We did build a snowman; however, he was not photo worthy!)Snow Angels never get old! This is just before she laid her face down in the show to lick up/eat snow!I don't get dressed up for snow play....this was just after we rolled around in the snow
and had a snow ball fight!Of Course we have to have a posed picture...I missed the best picture-when she tried to get out of the car and fell face down in the snow and then crawled out....she was laughing the whole time. The wee slide had to do till daddy gets her "big playground" finished."Mommy, can I swing in my big playground swing?"
And to think...the age on this play set is up to 4 yrs old...not for my tall toddler.Although still an infant/toddler swing it's a big swing to her.She loves her "tree house"Mady had a blast too!We made snowballs and would throw them and Mady would chase them and eat them...
Cheap EntertainmentShe begged for snow ice cream and the requested Chocolate after taste testing....So Chocolate snow ice cream she got!And after lunch and snow ice cream, she settled in for her long winter's nap!

I am so very blessed with such a fun and wonderful child and a hard working husband that allows me to stay at home and take care of our kiddo and my grandmother.

Definitely Ready for the Warmer Days...

Today was ABSOLUTELY beautiful outside. For a change the wind didn't blow, the sun was out and it was WARM even on the touch of HOT!! So we went out and played on Isabella's not quite finished swing set and she LOVED it!! Sandi had off so she came out and spent Thursday night, Friday and Saturday morning with us. My grandmother also went outside with us for about an hour or so and even took her jacket off because she got too warm. It was really nice to spend some time outside and get some fresh air.

This is the I'm hiding and pooping picture.....
complete with her saying "Mommy Go Away...I'm NOT POOPING!"

We tried to get her to take a nap on the hammock but it was definitely a no go....
I know I could have gone for one!!

When a helmet is nowhere to be found-a basket will do. But ALWAYS be Safe!!

One Weekend - My Birthday, Mickey LIVE and Valentine's Day, OH MY!

My Birthday
After waking up to a beautiful blanket of snow and Alan not being able to make it to work, I spent the morning yet again playing in the snow (building snowmen, making snowangels and having snowball fights with Alan, Isabella and my dad.)

After lunch the sun came out and started melting the snow, so luckily we were able to make it to Lubbock for me to get my hair cut.  I was spending many days with it in a ponytail, so that is a sure fire way to know it's time for a new haircut.  I love it...again I went short & sassy, except this time it has more layers which I like because it gives it more volume which is something my hair is definitely lacking.  We then ran a few errands and returned home to get ready for a birthday dinner with friend's that had been set up.  Was suppose to be a surprise but I'm not good with surprises and generally figure things like this out.  HAHA!  We had an excellent dinner at Outback with some very special friends Thursday night.
Thank you so much to all of those involved!
To those of you who weren't able to attend, I understand and you were definitely missed.
I had a wonderful birthday and am very blessed with amazing family and friends.

The 29 yr old Birthday Girl!

Isabella and her adorable boyfriend! hehe...ok, ok, non-blood related cousin!!

Was this cake intended for a Wedding Shower or Baby Shower??  Not quite sure but I was assured it was a mistake on the bakery's part but who cares when it's DELICIOUS!!!  I'm use to ugly cakes on special occassions...seems to be something that doesn't only happen once to me.  It's always the thought that counts!

Isabella was so funny when they were singing Happy Birthday TO ME!!  She thought they were singing to her and she got all embarassed!!!  I love this kid!!

Mickey LIVE!!
Friday evening Hollie/Caitlin, Kyla/Kaegan and Isabella & I went to see Mickey LIVE!  We had so much fun and all three of the kiddos absolutely LOVED it!!  They each had their favorite parts and it was so fun to see the joy & excitement on their faces!!  Popcorn was the choice of snack for both of the girls, Isabella got after the cotton candy and Kaegan had some nachos.

Many of their favorite characters were there...The whole Mickey clan, several favorites from Toy Story, Cinderella, Tigger...

Visit from Hollie & Caitlin
Best of Friends!!  Silly Girls!!

They had their own little band going...

BATH TIME!

The girls were so cute with the binoculars we got them.  They looked for birds and went on safari and even peeked at each other across the table at lunch.

Isabella introduced Caitlin to the ball popper....
I think she enjoyed it just as much as Isabella has the past 2 years.

Valentine's Day
These two girls had so much fun together!  Can't wait till they come visit again!!

My lil' Valentine!

Isabella and Ricky played Rockband and several games of Hopscotch and even watch a little Max & Ruby!

Isabella's Valentine - Thank You Ricky for babysitting so that Alan and I could go to a movie!  Gotta love the Early Bird showing of the most seen movie on Valentine's Day 2010...Valentine's Day (most commercialized movie I have ever seen), sitting in the wrong theater for 20 minutes and spilling 3/4 of your large popcorn before even getting to your seat!  However, I definitely enjoyed the time spent with Alan!
Isabella was excited and enjoyed receiving mail  and goodies from family and friends for Valentine's Day!!
